This homeowner in Newburgh, NY reached out to us about installing a new roof as they were experiencing leaking from their asphalt roof that was about 10 years old. This home also had solar panels, so we worked closely with the homeowner and solar company to remove the panels before the installing a full Klaus Roofing System. To protect the home and prevent leaks in the future, we first replaced any damaged plywood decking and laid down our Klaus Larsen Roofing SealoronXT Ice & Water self-sealing membrane to create a moisture barrier between the decking and the shingles. For even more protection, we installed our own Velora One Underlayment, a high performance synthetic underlayment designed to protect the home in even the most severe weather. We also took the extra step to protect the home by taping the the plywood steams with our all-weather SealoronXT Deck Tape—it's the Klaus Roofing Way! To top it off, for new asphalt shingles, we installed IKO Dynasty Architectural Shingles featuring a 1-1/4" nailing area made with a tough reinforcing woven band for incredible nail-holding power to protect the home against Mother Nature's fury. The homeowner choose the shingle color Summit Gray for their new roof.
Michael and Lindsey’s flat roof in Port Jervis, NY, was showing its age with a grey, streaky, and weathered appearance. After discovering a leak in their second-floor laundry room, we found that the plywood boards underneath were rotted. We replaced the damaged plywood with fresh Klaus Larsen boards and applied a PolyGlass seal for leak protection. The result is a clean, sleek flat roof that looks brand new and provides lasting protection. The transformation shows just how much of a difference top-quality roofing can make! The Klaus Roofing Way!
Brian in Wurtsboro, NY, reached out after dealing with leaks coming into his home from an aging roof. The roof was about 20 years old and installed directly over plywood with no underlayment, which left the home vulnerable to water damage over time. Since it’s a mobile home, Brian wanted to make sure the replacement was done the right way and built to last. Our team removed the existing asphalt shingles and inspected the plywood underneath. As expected, some areas needed to be replaced, and Brian was aware of that going into the project. Once the deck was solid, we installed SealoronXT Deck Tape to seal the seams between the plywood sheets. We followed that with SealoronXT Ice & Water in the most vulnerable areas, then covered the rest of the roof with Velora One Underlayment to create a proper moisture barrier that the home didn’t have before.
There was also a small sky tunnel on the roof that Brian wanted to keep, so we carefully reused it and made sure it was properly sealed into the new system. To finish the job, we installed new shingles in the color Shadow Brown, giving the home a clean, updated look and much better protection than it had before. With the full roof replacement complete, Brian’s house is now sealed up and protected from future leaks.
Cullen in Shandaken, NY had issues with the flat roof section over his back porch. The roof had shingles where there should have been a proper flat roofing system, and one of the skylights had started leaking. On top of that, the skylights were the wrong type, they were deck-mounted when they needed to be curb-mounted for the pitch. We replaced this section with a brand-new Polyglass Elastoflex SA 3 Ply SBS Roof Membrane, installed with two base layers and one cap sheet for long-lasting protection backed by a 20-year warranty. We also upgraded the skylight system with a Velux Curb Mounted Skylight, complete with a flashing kit, solar-powered shade, and remote control for easy use. To finish it off, we installed new plywood decking underneath, giving Cullen a watertight and durable roof system built to last.
